The short answer is, YES!

The longer answer is simple. I started Kinder Technical Services for a few reasons.

First, after 22+ years in a ministry where I was the sole leader who understood technology and how it might impact the ministry as a whole, I feel like I understand the frustration that technology can impose upon a small ministry. I often found myself doing online research in order to make technology work for my ministry. The power of using technology in your ministry should not be underestimated. From improved sound and video solutions for both in-house and online audiences, to improving security and safety, implementing technological solutions can make dramatic impacts. That being said, it can also be incredibly daunting. It can be expensive, especially if you rely upon the typical commercial solutions.

Second, my background in technical disciplines is varied enough that I feel I can offer advice and solutions that will not break the bank for smaller churches and faith-based non-profit organizations. What is my background?

I was an Electronics Technician in the United States Navy for 22+ years. For most of that time, I was in the Navy’s nuclear power program, responsible for maintenance, calibration, and repair of electronic control and indication circuits. During that career I also developed a strong understanding of computers and networking through both formal and informal education. I am A+ certified as a computer repair technician. During my time as a volunteer in various churches I began learning about audio systems. I continued that as a pastor, and dove into audio and video systems for my church with even more gusto. As a pastor, I was also pushed into investigating (and installing and maintaining) my church’s video surveillance system and building alarm system. I also had to learn about various other technology solutions that churches need to be using, such as how to check-in children in order to properly provide oversight and control of who leaves with a child! Finally, I was also deeply involved in building numerous church websites, as well as websites for non-profit organizations; in addition, I had to move into the world of social media, and became very familiar with how to use those platforms.

My technical background and ministry experience makes me ideally suited to help YOU determine what technology can do for your church or non-profit ministry. Get in touch with me, and let’s discuss how I can serve your ministry!
